The Lantern Fest- creative experiential center for Saraswati World School

On 29 September 2022, Saraswati World School, organized an inter-school exhibition at school premises to bring a shift among the students from theoretical study to practical implementation and to give them the opportunity to apply their ideas in unique ways.

The inaugural session was graced by the Vice Chairman, Director, and Headmistress. The inaugural function of Lantern Fest- Science, Math, Language, and environment exhibition.

This inter-school exhibition is named “The Lantern Fest”. The program started with lamp ignition by both of our chief guests followed by Vice-Chairman sir’s and Headmistress Mam’s speech. 
The headmistress, teachers, all other faculty members, parents and students of ours and other schools as well were present at the exhibition. Students from class III to class X participated in the field of Science, Maths, Environment, and Language Exhibition to showcase their outstanding creativity in their respective fields. 

This exhibition was open to students from other schools as well. Students presented different types of models which were related to science, maths, environment, and language like the hydraulic bridge, water clock, water pump, environment-friendly air conditioner, circulatory system, fraction, abacus, division & multiplication, height & distance, shapes, different types of pollution & their solution, solar & lunar eclipse, solar system, volcano, soil profile, the contribution of Rabindranath Tagore in Bengali literature, British – American – Indian English literature, Seven ages of man, and many more exciting topics. 
Our Vice-Chair, Director, and Headmistress madam surveyed the entire exhibition and also took details from the respective students about each of their models. Students who participated in the exhibition explained their models very well.

The survey of the entire exhibition with a detailed demonstration of every project by collaborating students group took a little over two hours for the team to finalize the best innovative project.

The most popular choice award for inspiring innovation was judged by all Headmistress, teachers, and Director’s mam and took a day to come to the final decision.
The exhibition remained open for over two and a half hours for viewing by the visitors and parents. The exhibition received an overwhelming response from visitors and parents. And the entire team of SWS is thankful to everyone.

Innovation and creativity at their best

The innovative show of talents and creativity comes to a close as the judgment for the winners was finalized. The jury is of the view that all the creativity presented during the exhibition was truly outstanding and to announce a winner is a difficult task.

Simultaneously, the visitors to the exhibition thoroughly enjoyed the event. They were overwhelmed by the experience of witnessing the best science model, Math concepts and applications, environmental sustainability, and literature to remember. 

In the final hour of the exhibition, winners were awarded mementos and all the participants received medals & certificates.  The teacher of Saraswati World School presented a vote of thanks.
